    IIIOS - researching the operating theatre of the future








The Institute for Medical Science and Technology at the University of Dundee is pleased to announce the 3rd IIIOS Hands on DBS & Drug Delivery training event.


This event is supported by the Scottish Northern Research Partnership www.northscotland-research.ac.uk/.

The course will provide participants, with a clinical background, with the basic knowledge and skills of how to perform MRI-guided deep brain stimulator (DBS) placements in targets to treat Parkinson's disease, Dystonia, Tremor, Epilepsy and treatment refractory depression and direct targeted drug delivery.

The course will provide practical hands on session where the ClearPoint®(www.mriinterventions.com) MRI-guided system will be used for placement of a DBS and Drug Delivery in a demonstration setting using IMSaT's dedicated MR research scanner, Maquet1050 Surgical Suite and Thiel soft embalmed anatomical specimen.
